Public Process Information

Scoping Meeting

A scoping meeting was held on Wednesday, June 16, 2004, at 10:00 AM, at the Rhode Island Department of Transportation Maintenance Headquarters, 360 Lincoln Avenue, Warwick, Rhode Island 02888.

The purpose of the meeting was to introduce the project to Federal, State, City of Providence, and City of Cranston Agencies and Officials.


City of Providence Meeting

A meeting was held on Thursday, October 7, 2004, at 1:30 PM, at the Rhode Island Department of Transportation, Transportation Operations Center, 2 Capitol Hill, Providence, Rhode Island 02903.

The meeting was held to introduce the project to the City of Providence and to discuss coordination with neighborhood groups.

 

Elected Officials and Neighborhood Group Meetings

A meeting was held on Wednesday, November 17, 2004, at 7:00 PM, at the Textron/ Chamber of Commerce, 130 Broadway, Providence, RI 02903.

The meeting was held to introduce the project to Elected Officials and Neighborhood Groups.

 

City of Providence Mayor's Office Meeting

The meeting was held on April 29, 2005, at 2:00 PM, at Providence City Hall, 25 Dorrance Street, Providence, RI 02903.

The meeting was held to introduce the project to the City of Providence Mayor's Office and to discuss coordination with neighborhood groups.

 

Draft Environmental Impact Statement Public Hearing

The meeting was held on June 28, 2005, at the Textron/Chamber of Commerce Providence Public Charter School, Providence, RI 02903.

The meeting was held to review the project exhibits and solicit comments for the Draft Environmental Impact Statement.

 

West Broadway Neighborhood Association Meeting

The meeting was held on September 6, 2005 at the West Broadway Neighborhood Association, 1560 Westmnster Street, Providence, RI 02909.

The meeting was held to discuss the current design for Alternative 4, including the revised Frontage Road layout and traffic impacts resulting from the new Broadway On-ramp, followed by a questions and answers session.
